Developing
a Community of Forgiveness
Four
Strategies for Your Church
Forgiveness
Ministries offers many resources to help your church become a
Community of Forgiveness. Developing a community of forgiveness
requires time, energy and resources, but it is well worth it!
The better a congregation practices forgiveness the more effective
it is in life and ministry.
First Level - One-time Exposure |
| |
Goal:
To introduce the congregation to the concepts of biblical
forgiveness |
| |
Tools:
The Basic Forgiveness Seminar (with The Forgiveness
Manual) or a specialty seminar or a retreat, conference
or worship service speaker
|
Second
Level - Ongoing Exposure |
| |
Goal:
To provide repeated reinforcement of the concepts of
biblical forgiveness and create opportunities for people
to actively practice them |
| |
Tools:
The Basic Forgiveness Seminar (repeated as needed)
with ongoing Forgiveness Support groups (leadership
training, The Forgiveness Manual and small group materials)
|
Third
Level - Integrated Ministry Focus |
| |
Goal:
To help the entire congregation develop a lifestyle
of forgiveness, one that contributes to all aspects
of the church’s ministry |
| |
Tools:
Everything above plus: special leadership training/mentoring
to develop your own forgiveness ministry leader(s)
|
Fourth
Level - Outreach Ministry Focus |
| |
Goal:
To develop the concepts of biblical forgiveness into
an inviting outreach tool in your community |
| |
Tools:
Everything above plus specialty workshops designed
to reach specific target groups within your community
